First entry

I decided to start a blog to keep track of my musical advances, As well as my adventures, on a daily-weekly basis. I would like to start by giving a little bit of history on how I got into music, and where I am now.

- It all started around Christmas 2004-2005, My brother got a music mix CD called "this is trance!", and i was curious what trance was, ( we didn't have internet ). I badgered him to let me listen to it, and he repeated no, countless times. I gave it a day, and when he wasn't around i spun the CD for myself. I thought it was all very interesting... and I listened to it pretty much daily. Around that time, my brothers stereo fell off the table and landed on the CD, which left it in pieces.

- Not long after that, we had the internet, and I did a search on some of the songs. I downloaded a CD of random tracks from limewire, and listened to them at low volume during the night. This music touched my soul, and gave me dreams.

- It was then I decided I wanted to learn to compose Trance. During this time in the United States the hit trance song was Sandstorm by darude. I've been one of his fan's ever since and been an active user on his website to this day. Along some of those users lyed a guy named Sebastian Mutz. I asked him to help me learn to produce trance, and he started by telling me to buy a program called Magix Music Maker 12 Deluxe, around that time I was broke, and willing to do anything to get the money. Eventually i did, and my mom lent me the covering cost. As soon as i got home i was very confused, So about 6 months later, I got most of the structuring and vocabulary down, and figured I was ready to move on to a higher edge program. My sisters boyfriend, Kevin Jesensky gave me a cd that had a demo of FL Studio 5, and i didn't like it at first, but soon-after it was my main host.

- Around 2 months ago I decided it was time to get some input from professionals, So i started to talk and collaborate with different artists mostly in the genre's of hip hop and offering free production. I also sent 2 demo's to 2 different record labels, and got no reply, Hence. I was quite sad, and understood the difficulty and competition that's out there. But I didn't give up, I produced a trance song named Oceanic, which displayed my abilities up to that time. Sent it to a local record label owner, and got a reply that I had potential, which actually made me quite happy. Considering no-body ever replies, even if it was a negative response, I would of still been satisfied to get criticism/feedback. The record owner, Eric Cohen, wasn't a producer of Trance, but a producer of the genre known as House, which got me quite saddened. Briefly after I came to like House more than trance, and thought it was great to learn other genre's. So i did =].

- To this day Eric, is continuing to help me recognize my potential and develop my skills. He has become more than a guy that has connections to the music business or a guy that has great talent in what he does. He's become a great friend who i care about a lot, and will do anything for him if it comes down to it.

-I care not to be famous, or to be rich. But to possess a skill in which makes me and others happy.
